La Compagnie créole est un groupe de variété français, originaire des Antilles françaises et de Guyane. Il est principalement populaire dans
les années 1980 et passé à la postérité à travers la francophonie.
Fondé en 1975, le groupe sort un premier album en 1976, Ba Moin ti bo, suivi en 1982 de l'album Blogodo.
En 1983, ils sortent les titres Vive le Douanier Rousseau ! et C'est bon pour le moral, qui seront deux de leurs plus grands succès avec respectivement 400 000 et 500 000 exemplaires vendus.
C'est avec Vive le Douanier Rousseau ! qu'ils sont candidats de la sélection française pour le Concours Eurovision de la chanson 1983, présentée par Jean-Pierre Foucault et Marie Myriam, le 20
mars 1983, sur Antenne 2. À la suite d'un sondage SOFRES auprès d'un panel du public, le groupe se classe 2e, après Guy Bonnet et sa chanson Vivre, choisi comme représentant de la France.
De 1984 à 1987, paraissent d'autres tubes, comme Le Bal masqué, Ça fait rire les oiseaux et Ma première biguine-partie.
Après avoir été l'une des têtes d'affiche des tournées Âge tendre, la tournée des idoles saison 4 (2009—2010) et 5 (2010—2011), La Compagnie
créole organise le 27 mai 2011 une grande soirée en leur honneur à Paris.
En 2024 ils participent à la Saison 6 de Mask Singer sous le costume de la main.

La Compagnie Créole is a popular French pop band from French Guiana and the French West Indies, founded in the 1970's. They originally
started singing in Creole but quickly adopted French as their main language. They are known mostly for the feel-good and happy-go-lucky quality reverberating
in all of their songs: popular themes and imagery include colorful rainbows, sunshine, music and harmless animals as a positive morale booster all set to Caribbean rhythms. Many of their records
have been produced by Daniel Vangarde.
Founded in 1975, the group released their first album, "Ba mwen en ti bo" in 1976, with the album "Blogodo" following in 1982. In 1983, two of their most popular songs, "Vive le Douanier Rousseau
!" and "C'est bon pour le moral" were released, with 400,000 and 500,000 records sold, respectively. From 1984 to 1987, the group released additional popular songs, including "Le Bal masqué", "Ça
fait rire les oiseaux" and "Ma première biguine-partie."
The group received top billing in the fourth and fifth seasons of "Âge tendre, la tournée des idoles" a tour composed of musical acts originating from the 1960's and the 1970's. On May 27, 2011,
a celebration in their honour was held in Paris.
The group La Compagnie Créole has produced over 23 albums, and claims to have sold over 60 million records.
At the beginning of 2024, the group took part in the 6th season of the popular French TV project "Mask Singer" under a Hand mask. They left the project in episode 3.
